Who is Aileen Clark?
Well, that’s a question many a philosopher has pondered and since I have first hand knowledge, I guess I could let you know. I was born in San Francisco, California, to a Nicaraguan mom and Scottish dad. Yes, my household had many accents. I’m an only child with a penchant for attention so of course I became an actor. I spent the first half of my life living in Brazil and Nicaragua, so I speak Spanish and Portuguese but I definitely still use Google Translate often. I went to college at the prestigious San Francisco State University because that is the only school I applied to and since it’s a State school they were like, “sure, why the f*ck not”. There, I studied Theatre Arts with an emphasis in Performance which my dad, very lovingly and not at all sarcastically, calls “a degree in pretending”.
In 2010, I moved to good ol’ NYC because the call of a comedy cult, Upright Citizen’s Brigade (UCB), was too strong. While spending too much money on improv classes, I picked up dog walking and pet sitting as a side gig. And you know what? It was delight! Sure there was diarrhea and barf and some wierdo pet owners, but there’s nothing like a wiggly pup butt greeting you at the door or snuggling with a kitty in an stranger’s bed for a week while they’re away. Plus the money was pretty good.
Anyways, I’m a Taurus Sun, Taurus Moon and Rising Libra (do with that what you will). I love food in all ways, cooking it (I’m awesome at it #humblebrag), eating it (my family once said I’d eat rocks if you put salt and pepper on them), feeding it to other people (I am that Mom Friend). I love to travel and have only two continents left to visit: Asia and Antartica. But I also like staying in: video games, movies and Bob’s Burgers forever.
